Course Overview
This course gives you the skills to conduct complex prescribed burns under organisational procedures. You will learn advanced safety controls, operational coordination, resource management considerations, dynamic risk management, communications, monitoring, and contingency actions appropriate to complex burn environments.
This course now includes PUAFIR515 as an additional unit. That unit focuses on developing complex prescribed burn plans, covering advanced planning inputs, risk and control strategies, resource and logistics considerations, contingencies, communications planning, documentation requirements, and review processes to support safe and effective complex burn operations. Together these two units give you both the planning and operational capability needed to lead and coordinate complex prescribed burning activities.
