Course Overview
This course provides the skills and knowledge required to conduct workplace drug and alcohol specimen collection in accordance with organisational procedures and relevant legal and privacy requirements. Participants learn to prepare and conduct specimen collection, maintain chain of custody, apply hygiene and infection control measures, manage privacy and confidentiality, and complete required documentation and reporting.

Delivery Location: Training is delivered at Health Security Education’s approved facilities or at client workplaces by arrangement.

Schedule / Time Commitment: Allow 1 full day (up to 8–9 hours), including theory, practical activities and assessment (delivery dependent).
