Course Overview
This course provides the skills and knowledge required to assist clients with medication in accordance with individualised support plans, organisational procedures, and relevant legislation and duty of care requirements. Participants learn to support medication assistance processes, maintain infection control, identify and report risks, and complete required documentation in line with workplace policy and delegated authority.

Delivery Location: Training is delivered at Health Security Education’s approved facilities or at client workplaces by arrangement.

Schedule / Time Commitment: Allow 1 day (up to 6–8 hours), including theory, practical activities and assessment (delivery dependent).

Who This Course Is For
This course is suitable for aged care and disability support workers, home and community care workers, residential care staff, team leaders and supervisors in support services, and workers transitioning into roles that include medication assistance under organisational policy.
